Dr. Ken McAfee is proud to announce the addition of a 3-D Cone Beam Imaging System in his office on S. Wall Street. “The 3-D scans are critical prior to placing implants, and the images improve our ability to diagnose problems around the teeth and jawbone,” stated Dr. McAfee. This 3-D Cone Beam Imaging System is the only one in the Calhoun area.
Following his successful completion of the yearlong Medical College of Georgia/AAID Comprehensive Training Program in Implant Dentistry, Dr. McAfee saw the value of having this technology in his office. Within a few minutes of a 3-D Cone Beam Scan, a doctor is able to explore a 3-D image of the patient within implant planning software. He can then zoom in or out on an image as well as rotate and scan it, taking mouth and tooth measurements to determine if implants can be placed and how many the patient requires.
Dr. McAfee has been practicing cosmetic, implant, and family dentistry in the Calhoun area since 1997. He’s currently seeing patients in his brand new office at 800 S. Wall Street, in the newly remodeled, former Regions Bank building.
